Expand & Elevate: Dream Team Retreat
Okay, so listen. This year has been all about leveling up - not just in business, but in how I lead, how I connect, and how we show up as a team. So it only felt right to carve out a weekend just for that: connection, creativity, and clarity.
So I packed my bags and met up with my elves - Macy and Kylie. We grabbed a cozy Airbnb for the weekend and gave ourselves full permission to hit pause, lean in, and dream big.
Friday: arrival and grounding
We rolled in Friday night, unpacked, and set the tone for the weekend with dinner at 44 North. Amazing food, way too much laughter, and catch-up convos. After that, we snuggled into the living room to open our gift baskets. I had each of the girls pick out some of their favorite self-care goodies for our weekend, and got them flowers. Then, we cracked open the “How to Meet Yourself” workbook, by Dr. Nicole LePera. After our heart-to-hearts, we tucked ourselves in for the night.
Saturday: Pedicures and corporates
We kicked off Saturday with a breakfast spread and mimosas (as one does) while discussing self-worth, team goals, and how far we’ve come. This wasn’t surface-level stuff - this was “let’s get real” energy.
10:00AM : time for pedicures. We stopped at Tips & Toes for some much needed pampering before our shoot.
Lunch was Erbert & Gerbert’s (quick + delish), and then it was time to glam up. Hair, makeup, and full-on prep mode for our corporate shoot. Todd Cutler, photographer and owner of Images In Nature Gallery in Siren, Wisconsin, took our corporate photos. From the time he arrived? Chaos and creativity. We spent hours shooting, laughing, hyping each other up, and reminding ourselves why we do this in the first place. We even ended the night with a bonfire outside.
Sunday: Soft reset
Sunday morning was chill - clean-up, comfy clothes, breakfast, and a little decompression. We hit up some local shops (retail therapy counts as team bonding, right?) and wrapped the weekend with lunch before heading back home to our own corners of the world.
Team bonding filled our cups
Sometimes you don’t realize how much you need a weekend like this until you're in it. The kind of weekend that fills your soul, realigns your vision, and reminds you that you're not doing any of this alone.
I walked away more grounded, grateful, and excited for what’s ahead.
And most importantly? I walked away more connected to the two women who help keep this whole thing going.
