Hi friends! It’s Julie. Imagine being nervous as fck, your knees shake as you open the studio door. You walk in to me. I’m smiling. I’m excited as fck you are here. You’re looking around the studio and seeing how comfy it is. Blankets. Rugs. Lamps. Candles and it smells amazing. Beautiful artwork of past clients hung up.

You look back at me. I’m still smiling. I ask. How are you feeling? You breathe and drop those shoulders. You realize. I’m fcking doing this. I’m ok. I’m safe. Julie is a hot mess express. She’s still smiling. Omg she’s excited to meet me.

I want to book, but what if i’m awkward AND weird?

You assume all my clients are confident. How could they not be? Look at all their gorgeous, bold photos. Truth is: they are just like you, just like me. Awkward, nervous, and maybe a little strange. I am here to be your personal cheerleader behind the camera. I swear, all your nerves will leave as you enter. You are free to be your awkward self with me!

WILL I HAVE TO KNOW HOW TO POSE MYSELF?

Absolutely not! As a professional, I have 19 years of experience teaching you how to pose your body to the utmost perfection. I will guide you through every movement, down to the placement of your fingertips and pointed toes. And I know the best angles for your beautiful curves. Don’t worry at all! I’ve got you. Would your Hairdresser ask you to cut your own hair before you came? Of course not! You’re good girl!

What does a session day look like?

Your session day kicks off at 9am with professional hair and makeup - either at Mindy’s Menagerie or right here in the studio (you’ll know ahead of time where to head first!). After you’re pampered and feeling as stunning as you are, you’ll head to the studio (if you aren’t already here). Next stop? The lingerie closet, packed with sizes XS-6X. I’ll help you select outfits that flatter your shape and skin tone. You’ll choose anywhere from 1-6 looks depending on your session.

What does a session day look like? cont.

After we pick your outfits, it’s time to shoot! Shooting time varies based on your package, but sessions typically run 30 minutes to 2 hours. After your shoot, you will head to town for lunch. Your same day image reveal is the last event of the day. Plan on up to 90 minutes. This is where we narrow down the extremely hard process of your favorite photos. Why is it so hard? Because you will love them all. You will usually be out of the studio by 3-4pm. Your order can be shipped directly to you, or you can pick them up at the studio! Plan on about 6-8 weeks.

Where are you located? where does the session take place?

My studio is located outside of Siren, Wisconsin. I am about 3 miles outside of town, giving you full privacy for your session day. I have a full studio with fabulous sets to choose from. I often get asked how far people travel and the answer is forever! I have had people fly, drive many hours, and stay at a hotel in town. Siren is the cutest little village, you won’t regret the trip!

can my session be anonymous?

Of course your session can be anonymous! I totally understand if you don’t want your photos to be posted online. Or if you’re in a position where you can’t. Your next thought, what if she tells? Babe, I’ve got you. It goes against everything I believe in to tell. And I want to build trust with you! However, I do believe Boudoir should never be something that one is shamed for. The purpose is to celebrate your beauty!
