Originally, it was all about the surprise. A secret tucked away until the reception. But somewhere between booking the session and stepping in front of the camera, something shifted. This became about her - her joy, her confidence, her growth. And suddenly, the pictures were just a bonus.

Her why:

“At first it was just for the pictures to be handed to my groom at the reception. It did evolve into more than that though. It was because I am fun and worth being seen. I want wedding pictures of my man all flustered, and I want to be the kind of person who inspires her kids to do anything and go for what they want. Ultimately, it’s good to push your comfort zone boundaries. That’s how I grow.

Her biggest concerns

Honestly, the biggest one was that it was an expense I was being irresponsible spending on myself. Also, that pictures of me aren’t good. The first subsided when I thought of my man’s face when he finally sees it. The second went away when Julie showed me the image on the camera!

Her Session Experience: what did you feel?

All the things! Nervous, excited, and self-conscious. Then more excitement, laughter, and confidence. I felt as prepared as you can be for the first time doing this. It was easy to relax once I met them and conversation was so easy. Everything flowed really well and these ladies are such a mood and confidence booster! They become your personal hype team. It was casual and still super professional at the same time. I didn’t really have expectations. But the schedule of the day went exactly as told.

Our babe drove 5.5 hours for her shoot. Serena may have walked in hoping to surprise her groom, but the biggest surprise was the way she saw herself by the end. Strong, radiant, and WORTH BEING SEEN! Serena, we love you. Your groom will be ecstatic!!!!!!!
